JoSAA Round 2 merit list declared: Here are the important dates for further procedure

Synopsis
The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has announced the second round of seat allotments for IIT and NIT admissions. Candidates can check their results on josaa.nic.in using their JEE Main 2025 application number and password. Successful candidates must complete online reporting, including fee payment and document upload, between June 25th and 29th, 2025.
JoSAA Round 2 Seat Allotment 2025: Important dates
- Online reporting (fee payment, document upload, query response): 25-29 June, 2025
- Withdrawal/exit from Round 2: 26-30 June 2025
- Deadline to resolve payment issues: 30 June, 2025 (5PM)
- Last date to respond to withdrawal queries: 1 July, 2025
- Round 3 seat allotment: 2 July, 2025
- Round 4 seat allotment: 6 July, 2025
- Round 5 seat allotment: 11 July 2025
- Round 6 seat allotment: 16 July 2025
JoSAA Round 2 Seat Allotment 2025: Steps to check allotment result
Step 1: Visit josaa.nic.in, the Joint Seat Allocation Authority's (JoSAA) official website.Step 2: To view the seat allocation outcome, locate and click the link on the homepage.
Step 4: The seat allocation outcome will appear on the screen following the submission of the information.
Step 5: After confirming your details, save the page.
Step 6: Download it, then print it off for your records.

JoSAA Round 2 Seat Allotment 2025: What to do?
Float: If this option has been selected, the candidate will be considered for admission in subsequent rounds to any Institute's higher-preference academic program and accepts the seat that has been assigned.If no higher choice is indicated, the candidate shall continue with the authorised academic program. Candidates who opt to "Float" will be considered for JoSAA 2025 rounds that follow.
Slide: By selecting "Slide," a candidate agrees to the seat that has been offered and signals that they are open to being placed in a higher academic program within the same Institute in later rounds of seat distribution. Candidates who choose "Slide" will also be considered for subsequent rounds of JoSAA 2025.
